International Monetary Fund/Singapore Regional Training Institute

The International Monetary Fund/Singapore Training Institute (IMF/ STI) is a joint venture of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Government of Singapore and serves as the IMF’s regional training centre in Asia. IMF/STI’s function is to provide training in macroeconomic and financial management and related legal and statistical issues for government officials from 43 economies in the Asia-Pacific region. The IMF/STI trains about 700 officials each year in Singapore and another 90-100 officials yearly in three national or regional courses held elsewhere in the region. Since 1998, it has conducted more than 200 programmes and provided training to more than 5,000 officials from the Asia-Pacific region.
