The KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) is the only
integrated women’s and children’s hospital in Singapore. As the
largest medical institution in the country specialising in obstetrics
and gynaecology, neonatology and paediatrics, the 830-bed hospital
sees to the delivery of one-third of the nation’s population each
year. It also records approximately 60,000 inpatient admissions
and over 500,000 outpatient visits annually. The hospital is a major
tertiary referral centre for high-risk obstetrics as well as a national
referral centre for comprehensive gynaecological cancer treatment
and urogynaecological problems. It is an approved hospital for the
training of nurses and has excellent training and teaching facilities.
