Singapore Environmental Management and Engineering Services (SEMES)

SEMES is a commercial arm of the Ministry of the Environment and is a specialist company offering consultancy, project management and training, in the various fields of environmental management and environmental engineering. Being fully backed by the resources and expertise of the Ministry, SEMES'S core expertise include solid waste management, sewerage, sewage treatment and disposal, management of land drainage, flood control, pollution and toxic and hazardous waste management.

SEMES is committed to providing high quality, efficient environmental management and engineering services and have the experience of carrying out environmental projects funded by Asian Development Bank and the World Bank in Asian countries. SEMES has carried out projects in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Vietnam, and in countries as far as the Middle East.

Besides offering consultancy services and project management, SEMES also offer 3 comprehensive training in the above fields of environmental management and engineering. SEMES has vast experience in conducting training programmes for participants from various Asian countries like Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia and other countries like Mauritius, Jamaica, Seychelles, PNG and Mongolia. The various Singapore Partnership Programmes with Japan, Korea, the World Bank, ADB and ESCAP include courses/seminars on environmental management, coastal and marine environmental management, efficient water use, pollution control, solid waste management and many other topics for our Asian counterparts.
